How it's made
The Best Salsa is homemade and all natural. This classic cooked salsa is made from the finest fresh ingredients – red, vine ripened tomatoes, fresh green and red Bell peppers, hot and spicy jalapeno peppers and sweet onions and garlic.
I grow most of my own tomatoes in my vegetable garden which is located outside of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in Canada. Our growing season can be short -- we have been known to have frost as late as early June and again in early September. I also purchase tomatoes from local farmers in the area.
I wait until the tomatoes are just the right ripeness –the salsa is sweeter that way! I peel the tomatoes, chop the fresh vegetables and cook it all up. I seal it in jars, ready to be served with taco chips, guacamole or used as a condiment with scrambled eggs and baked potatoes. I serve it on top of salmon or burgers.

Serving suggestions
May be used as a condiment to add flavour to baked potatoes, cooked fish and burgers, and with scrambled eggs.
Add it to ground beef for a awesome tasting taco or burrito.
